Coach Jones has two assistants: Kelsie Garner, 1st Assistant and Jr. Varsity Head Coach; Taylor Jeffs, Softball Assistant.
He attended Kemp ISD K—8 and then moved, attending Palmer High School and graduating in 1999.
From there, he went to Texas A&M-Commerce and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Science—then a Masters in Educational Administration from Lamar University in 2015.
Josh, who does not live in Forney, is married to Ashley and has four children: Aiden, 13—Avery, 6—Madi, 4—Maycie, 3. He says he really enjoys dancing with his wife and taking part in any type outdoor activities with his family. His favorite movies are Tombstone and Remember the Titans.
His softball coaching record thus far is 35 wins and 48 losses in 3 seasons. Last year’s record was 6 wins and 18 losses and a first round play-off loss to Celina. This year’s record at Forney is 15 wins and 7 losses and 1 tie, with a District Record of 9 wins and 1 loss.
