Laying out HB 3383
On Tuesday I laid out House Bill 3383 in front of the House Land and Resource Management Committee.HB 3383 offers enhanced protection against involuntary annexation for municipalities inside of “Tier 1” counties. It helps rural municipalities by amending the current Texas Local Government Code so that more municipalities qualify as “Tier 2” municipalities. This will mean citizens of these areas would be entitled to a vote when larger municipalities attempt to annex them.
Pinnacle Women’s Club
It was great having the Pinnacle Women’s Club at the Capitol on Thursday. Happy to honor their visit by passing HR 908, officially recognizing the Pinnacle Women’s Club on their community leadership and countless service achievements. Happy to see some familiar faces of HD 4 come down to Austin!
