On April 3rd, the North Forney Girls Golf Team became District Champs for the first time in school history. Led by Seniors, Bianca Cunningham and McKenzie Ryan, the team showed up to the 13-5A District Tournament at Rusted Rail Golf Club with hopes to make history. After two very long, but very impressive days on the course, “make history” is exactly what they did. Each girl, (Bianca Cunningham (Senior), McKenzi Ryan (Senior), Kara Kurtz (Junior), Jordan Milliorn (Sophomore), and Caleigh Meldrum (Freshman), shot some of their lowest scores to date. Coach Mankins and Coach Moore will be taking the team to Regionals April 22nd and 23rd at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club. We wish our North Forney girls’ good luck as they battle to advance further and continue to make history.
