On Wednesday, February 6, the Forney Area United Way was the recipient of a $46,558.68 contribution from Smurfit Kappa North America. Smurfit Kappa, the largest private employer located in the city of Forney, has additionally been the largest contributor to the Forney Area United Way for more than a decade. Each year, Smurfit Kappa encourages its employees to make a difference in the community by contributing to the United Way campaign.
These substantial donations, as well as others, allow the Forney Area United Way to assist organizations throughout the City of Forney and Kaufman County.
