Neal Weaver with some Answers!

Last week’s article concluded with Neal Weaver’s pronouncement that he had inherited his Dad’s love of athletics and his belief of the value of being part of a TEAM!

Now, let’s move on to Neal Weaver’s college experiences, or at least some of them. He attended the University of Texas at Tyler and Lamar University, and says that he received a college scholarship—but never “made the team.” “I am proof,” he says, “that even if you don’t get to play in college, if you love and study sports and apply yourself, you can still earn a scholarship! And, you can still have a great career in athletics!”

“My scholarship was ACADEMIC, and that is something we prioritize for ‘kids’ in our programs here. Whether they are talented enough to play their sports in college or not, academic areas and achievements are critical to SUCCESS!”
