DALLAS, Texas - Forney ISD Athletic Director, Neal Weaver was recently awarded the Neal Jeffrey Leadership Award by the Greater Dallas/ Ft. Worth Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Danny Noah, the Area Director/Camp Ministry Director for the Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter of the FCA, presented Weaver with the award.
The Neal Jeffrey Leadership Award is named after Neal Jeffrey, a pastor, author, speaker and former Baylor and National Football League quarterback. Jeffrey has been a dedicated volunteer with FCA and has served in church ministry for a number of years. Recipients of the Neal Jeffrey Award are men or women volunteers whose life and work exemplifies a commitment to being ‘servant leaders’.
Weaver began his career in Forney ISD in 2001 as an English and history teacher and coach. He was later named the girl’s athletic coordinator at Forney High School. In 2009 he was named the Assistant Athletic Director for the District before being named the Forney ISD Athletic Director in 2011.
