If you played the ponies and your bookie gave you a loser each and every time, how much longer would you take his advice? Well, if you’re a Climate Changist and your bookie is a pseudo-scientist running computer models, apparently you’d do it forever. Honesty, how many times do they have to get their predictions dead wrong before your realize that they’re just making it up as they go along?
Computer models have their place, but they don’t substitute for real science, especially when you’ve already decided what the result should be and you just keep cherry picking data until you get what you want.
The Arctic was supposed to be ice-free about a decade ago. Well, there’s ice in it from side to side to side to side and it’s getting thicker. Polar bears were supposed to be extinct. Well, there’s so many of them right now that the population is becoming unsustainable. We’re going to have to start letting the Inuit go back to culling them or they’ll just start eating each other.
Our children were supposed to never see snow again. Well they’re sure seeing plenty of it now! Texas was supposed to be in permanent drought. Now I don’t know what permanent means to you, but it means forever to me. And now the same people are whining and crying about all the rain and floods. And somehow it’s all still our fault.
