“Connected kids don’t kill,” Flip Flippen said. “Years ago I coined a term, if you can capture a kids heart, you have their head. It’s about relationships and connectivity.”

On Monday, December 10, over 100 community members, parents, Forney ISD staff, students and first responders came together to collaborate on safety and security prevention and mitigation.

“Our committee has met several times to open lines of communication between the district, community and first responders as we continually evaluate our safety and security processes,” Forney ISD Chief of Human Services Rick Geer said. “Tonight’s focus was on prevention and mitigation.”

New York Times bestselling author, international speaker and renowned psychotherapist Flip Flippen shared his research on connecting with kids and building relationships.
