It is with great sadness that the family of Erica Lynn Halvorsen (Hamilton) of Forney, TX announces her passing on November 24, at the age of 46. Erica will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 24 years Brian, her son Andrew, and her parents Jim and Karen Hamilton. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents John and Joy Hamilton and Burt and Elenora Isaacson.
Erica was born on March 29, 1972 in Glasgow, MT but lived most of her life in Texas. She graduated for Cypress Creek High School near Houston. She attended the University of North Texas in Denton, majoring in music. Brian and Erica moved to Forney, TX in time for Andrew to begin kindergarten. Erica was gifted with a wonderful singing voice and loved to sing in the church choir. She taught music to countless children at Forney United Methodist Church Pre-School. She was a proud supporter of the Pride of Falcon Nation Marching Band. She was a friend to many and an example of faith to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 30 6 – 8. Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 1st 11am with lunch to follow, both at First Presbyterian Church of Forney 12433 FM1641, Forney, TX 75126.
