Tony Gonzalez (Gonzo) and his family have been a pillar in our Forney Community. Tony has taken a new position in New Braunfels and will be moving there. Change is exciting but difficult at the same time. Forney will miss the Gonzalez family but we know they will continue to do great things.

When speaking of the Gonzalez family, it would be easy to just list off their many accomplishments. It is an impressive list. Tony with his position as IT director for the City of Forney, his personality as an On-Air Talent for Sportsgram, home game PA announcing and scoreboard operation for several athletic events. Gayla working her way up from peewee cheer to varsity cheer coach, moving on to lead the cheer team to a national championship, and becoming a member of the Special Education Department. But that isn’t what people remember, is it? They remember the celebratory high fives after a big win, the shock and excitement of a National’s trophy, the laughs over the intercom at the football games, and the support provided to a child who is struggling. People remember how you have impacted them, how you’ve changed their lives for the better. With this family, it is almost impossible to describe the monumental change they have brought to so many lives in this small town.
