LThat means that GOD is not charging us with our sins, Jesus paid for all of them. Sin will not keep us from going to Heaven, but while we live on this earth, willful sin brings sickness, ruined health, mistakes in business, dim gospel light for the world to see, a bad influence for our children and family.
It causes people to disbelieve in Christians, the church, and our witness to them. GOD sees everything we do in private which is hidden from everyone else. Nothing is overlooked. GOD says Christians will give an account for every idle word spoken. The reason sin will cause all of this on the earth is because we have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit for a guide who has the power to help us live a holy and righteous life before GOD and the world. If we have sin in our lives, our Christian light will be dimmed and the world will see the sin before they see the light. We do not have an excuse to turn away from GOD. He has given us everything we need to overcome sin and the world. The best part is, when we turn back to GOD, He will welcome us with open arms. It doesn’t get any better than that.
