This game has something for everyone. The end result was a Jackrabbit victory over North Forney, 39-35. The game was played Friday night at City Bank Stadium with Forney being the home team and North Forney on the visitor side of the shared stadium. Mother Nature even had a say in things, as the game was delayed by lightening for just over an hour.
Very deliberately, I am not going to mention a single players name in this article. Why? Because that win for the Jackrabbits was the definition of a team win. It isn’t about any particular individual. There were so many contributors to the victory, none more important than any other. As a certified sports nut, that game was as much fun watching and broadcasting as I have had in years. The Baylor vs TCU game in 2014, which Baylor won 61-58, was the only thing close in the last 4 or 5 years.
