Life, for this Texas boy, is a never-ending search for the perfect restaurant, my three favorite genres are a great diner with down home country food, Mexican Food Restaurant or Bar-B-Q Joint. I am blessed to travel all over the country and go out to eat a lot, and I mean a lot. It is hard to eat healthy when I’m on the road and I have to say that I will drive twenty miles past any fast food joint to eat at a Cracker Barrell and it’s not just because I am a “hexegenarian” (over 60). Lori and I have been eating at Cracker Barrels in Tennessee since we were in our twenties. At home I also love to eat a Mama’s Diner here in downtown Forney. While I’m close to home I have to say it is hard to drive by Burger King in Caton if I’m hungry. My favorite Mexican Food places are a different story. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great places here close to home but my list of favorites are a long way from here and two of my five favorites are a long way away
