Glenna Beth Dozier Morris, of Forney, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at her home. A memorial service was held on August 11, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Forney, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Morris; her parents James and Nettie Jo Dozier; and her son Joshua Taylor. Glenna is survived by her two daughters Jennifer Griffin and husband Marvin, and Jenna Morris; brother Steve Dozier and wife Janie; sister Lisa Wallace and husband Colton; grandsons Cord Guinn and Chase Griffith. She was raised in Forney and graduated from Forney High School. She was a majorette for the Jackrabbit band and was an active member on the basketball team. Glenna retired after many years with the Forney Police Department. Beth was an honest, down to- earth “real” person. Real in the way she thought, the way she talked and the way she treated everyone. She loved her children and her grandchildren, like most mom’s do. She loved her pets and all things nature provided. She loved her friends and her workmates. She loved the lake and living beside it. Her last few happy years were spent living in her RV down by the lake. She would go out each morning and have coffee on her patio and watch the ducks swim by. It was soothing to her soul. Glenna Beth knew God well and she held closely to her beliefs and to her Savior. When visiting with her in her final days it was clear that she and our Lord had been working out a plan for what was to come. There is no doubt that Jesus was on her mind as she passed away during the night and went on to meet with him in her new heavenly home. Beth was a friend to everyone and loved by all. Rest in peace, Beth, you deserve all He has promised.
