I’ve visited a lot of zoos during my life and had a variety of experiences while there. But one thing I’ve never had to endure was having one of our primate pals toss his excrement at me through the bars. Since it doesn’t happen much in the wild, scientists theorize this behavior is the result of the frustrations our cousins endure in captivity. The same behavior is also sometimes observed in captive mental patients, probably for the same reasons.
