Forney High School Student Receives First Division at TSSEC

Kristina Crawford, who will be a junior at Forney High School this Fall, received a First Division rating on her vocal art song at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition held at the University of Texas in Austin on Memorial Day weekend. In order to qualify for this competition, a student must receive a First Division on a Class 1 solo at the preliminary UIL solo and ensemble competition in February. Kristina’s song selection was Sure on This Shining Night by Samuel Barber. She is a member of the varsity women and mixed choirs at Forney High School and has been with the Stephens Vocal Studio for 2 years.
