The State and National Grand Champion Forney Highsteppers, directed by Stacie Weisberg, took their final bow of the season this past weekend at their annual Spring Show – Best Day Ever. The girls performed their top routines including Spongebob’s “Bikini Bottom Day”, Shrek’s “What’s Up Duloc”, “Fire” and “Diner Dolls”. The weekend shows also hosted guest performances from the Warren Middle School Star Steppers and Forney High School Percussion.
The team brought home a total of 75 awards this year including Tops in Texas, Grand National Champion Team and Grand National Champion Officers. Their many other awards included Technique, Precision, Sweepstakes, Choreography, Showmanship, Best in Class, and Solo awards. These girls worked hard this season! This is the first time the team has won BOTH State Grand Champions and National Grand Champions.
