Savannah Gunn didn’t allow a single hit as North Forney Falcons Varsity defeated West Mesquite 20-0 on Tuesday. To get the final out Gunn struck out #2. Lacy Mantooth led North Forney Falcons Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. She went 2-for-4 at the plate. Mantooth drove in runs on a triple in the first and a single in the first. Gunn led the North Forney Falcons Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out eight and walking one.
North Forney Falcons Varsity tallied 12 hits in the game. Brooke Cornelison, Alyssa Gaidos, and Mantooth all collected multiple hits for North Forney Falcons Varsity. Cornelison led with three hits in four at bats. North Forney Falcons Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Michelle Gamez made the most plays with eight.
