It’s been 14 years since the men’s Forney Jackrabbits Basketball team has been to the playoffs. It’s a cruel reality of sports to break a streak like that and then have your heart ripped from your chest the way it was Tuesday Night at Tyler Junior College in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. Forney lost 57-55 in overtime to District 16- 5A Runner-up Mount Pleasant.
Coach Bart Holloway’s charges had a great regular season, finishing tied for 2nd place in District 15-5A. They were 12-3 in games decided by 6 points or less. They had their first ever win over Highland Park, on the road.
