Mesquite—On Friday, October 13, the North Forney Falcon football team did a perfect job of ruining Mesquite Poteet’s Homecoming Game in the form of a very convincing 40-28 victory. The Pirated and their fans were expecting an easy victory but the Falcons had other ideas as they crushed Poteet’s party plans.
It is very rare for a Forney ISD football team to get a victory vs. Mesquite Poteet at Mesquite’s Memorial Stadium. In fact, the last time a Forney ISD team won a game vs. Mesquite Poteet at Mesquite’s Memorial Stadium was in 2008. (In 2008, Forney High School won over Mesquite Poteet by a count of 37-35.
