On Saturday, September 30, 2017, the annual Forney High School Ex-Students Association Business Meeting/ Luncheon opened the doors of the Forney I. S. D. Administration Building a little before 11:00 a. m. for registration, meet-and-greet, and the scholarship silent auction. At almost precisely 12:00 noon, President Kevin Whittemore, Class of 1992, opened the meeting with a Welcome and general announcements, and this was followed by the Invocation, spoken by Board Member Rick Townsend, Class of 1972.
The Luncheon, catered by 4-T’s Bar-B-Q of Forney (Mike Thomas), occupied the next thirty or forty minutes; loud and hearty mingling and visiting filled the air! Around 1:00 p. m. the Business Meeting was called to order and opened with a robust Pledge of Allegiance (led by fireman, Robert “Bob” Pinson) to the Flag of the United States of America.
