In the final action item on the open agenda of a lengthy City Council meeting Tuesday night, City Council members voted to waive attorney-client privilege and to release information that had been requested by two separate parties under the Public Information Act.
This item had been placed on the agenda at the request of Council members Shaun Myers and Robbie Powers. Before the vote, City Attorney Jon Thatcher said he had received two requests concerning information he had provided to the Council which he deemed privileged attorney-client information. In order for him to release this information, the Council had to vote to waive the attorney-client privilege.
