During Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, Fire Chief Rick Townsend presented members of his department for special recognition. The first responders were cited for outstanding work in the fire service. Recognized were: • Firefighter Josh Mc- Creary received the Fire Service Recognition Award from the Forney Fire Dept.
Tuesday night at the City Council meeting. Josh was nominated and approved for this award by his peers for overseeing and working on a project at the Central Fire Station that addressed a landscape and water issue. Black mold was discovered on an office wall at the station in February, 2017.
