He enjoyed coaching the youth in the Forney community. He was a true Cowboys fan all his life so he relished the 1990s and had been heartbroken the last 20 years like the rest of us. Red and Mandy also loved watching the Texas Rangers. He painfully watched their demise twice while seeking the championship but he loved them nonetheless! He will be missed by the many that loved him and shared his passions for his family and the great outdoors. He truly loved out-hunting and out-fishing Eric and Clay and he took special pride in being able to skin a deer twice as fast as his nephew, Jerry. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James (JE) and Billie Biggs of Dallas, his paternal grandparents Chris and Lois Monk of Garland and a nephew Atticus James Parker of Ivanhoe. A memorial service was held for Red at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225 on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM.
