Plague #7 is against “nut” Egyptian goddess of the sky. Pharaoh was warned about the hail and fire that would rain down from the sky if he did not believe GOD and let the people go. GOD knew Pharaoh would not listen but He gave him a chance to turn from his false gods and trust the real GOD anyway. Hail and fire rained down from the sky as GOD once again proved He was and is the only GOD that lives and searches the hearts of mankind. At that time the crops ripe in the field were flax and barley. Those two crops were not their source of food, but were used to make clothing and other items. GOD had Moses to warn Pharaoh and all Egypt to go into their houses and bring all animals into the barns. Some believed and some did not. Those who did not died where they were.
