The third god of Egypt that GOD judged was “GEB” God of the land. GOD turned the whole surface of the land into gnats. To me, gnats are one of the worst pests around. They get in your nose, eyes, ears and everywhere else.
It is interesting to see that the Egyptians had many gods and Israel had only one. The knowledge of GOD had been handed down from Abraham to Israel but it seems that man’s built-in desire to have a GOD caused Egypt to have a god for each part of their existence. We can see that GOD was not only showing Israel that He was the real GOD but was showing Egypt as well. It is also interesting that the magicians of Egypt could do the same thing that Moses did on the first two plagues, but could not on the third one.
