The judgment of the first god of Egypt is over and the second is the god of the frog. Actually it was a goddess (Heqat), with the head of a frog. I believe GOD was showing the Egyptians and Israel how foolish it was to make their own gods, and reject Him, the only true GOD with the power to destroy all false gods. GOD caused the frogs to cover the land of Egypt. There were frogs in their houses, in their beds, in their closets and all over the land of Egypt. They could not even step without stepping on a frog.
Each judgment GOD brought on Egypt slowly destroyed the land and many Egyptians. It is easy to say, “if I had been there I would have been smarter than that”. We may think we don’t have any false gods today because we are so far advanced. One of our gods may be green $. One may be is the shape of a car or house. Sometimes, I am not so sure of my recliner. If GOD should ask me to get out of my comfort zone, would I say “wait until I pray about it?” Our human side is no different than theirs was in that day. If people can find any way to get around GOD’S laws and rules, and still go to Heaven, they will take it. Many think they have found it in good works, or banding together with others, or having someone back in the family line that was religious.
