Stay alert to scams

We get suspicious emails all the time. A lot of them carry dire warnings about our needing to use a link in the e-mail to prevent our e-mail service from being shut down. I usually delete these as soon as they come in. Proof that they are spam is in the fact that our e-mail remains uninterrupted in spite of the warnings.
Other questionable e-mails carry the name of a well-known bank. These are even more suspect, because we’ve never had an account at this particular bank.
