Hazel Marie Newton was born to Martha Etta and Richard Claude Watts on May 13, 1930 in Greenville, Texas. She went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2017. Hazel served the Lord as an active member of the First Baptist Church of Forney. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Hazel will be missed and remembered for her kindness to everyone she met and for her love of life. On August 10, 1946 Hazel married Billy Newton of Forney, Texas. They had two children, Carolyn Marie and Billy Wayne. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy, four brothers Amos, Claude, William and Walter, and her sister, Mary Blanch Anderson. She is sur vived by her daughter, Carolyn Marie and husband, James Leroy Boller III “Jim”, of Sisterdale, Texas; her son Billy Wayne and wife Lori of Forney, Texas; four grandchildren Elicia Paige Boller of New York, New York; James Leroy Boller IV “Jimmy” and wife Erika of San Antonio, Texas; Aria Marie Johnson of Mabank, Texas and Melanie Jean and husband Sam Kinney of Kansas City, Missouri. She is also sur vived by her sisters, Evelyn Pearl Bellows of Mesquite, Texas and Edna Florence White of Kaufman, Texas. Other survivors include ten great grandchildren; Wiley, Bailey and Zoe Johnson; William and Carol Newton; James, Lia and Isabel Boller; Jacqueline and Charles Boller-Malik. Visitation with the family will be at New Hope Funeral home located at 500 East Highway 80 in Sunnyvale, Texas from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 22. Service will be held Friday, June 23 at 11:00 A.M. inChapel of the First Baptist Church Chapel in Forney where Pastor Jerry Griffin will conduct the eulogy and Dr. Jimmy D. Pritchard will officiate. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that Memorials be made in Hazel’s memory to the First Baptist Church of Forney, P.O. Box 97, Forney, Texas 78126.
