For several days prior to Tuesday, a message on the Lions Club electronic notice board on S. Bois d’Arc had warned motorists that the area in the vicinity of the railroad crossing on S. Bois d’Arc would be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Beginning Tuesday morning, drivers had to follow a detour not only away from the S. Bois d’Arc crossing, but they had to avoid the crossing at Elm Street as well.
