Laymen’s Corner

GOD had waited over 400 years for Israel to grow into a great nation. Their slavery under Egypt’s taskmasters was such that only GOD could set them free. GOD prepared a man (Moses) for 80 years until he was ready for GOD to send him into Egypt to free Israel. I believe if GOD had just set Israel free immediately, and left Egypt’s army and economy as it was, they would have chased Israel through the world trying to get them back and probably would have killed many of them. GOD chose to show His power while He brought judgment on several of the gods of Egypt.
