During the open meeting of Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, the Council and the Mayor recognized Cyndi and Mike Thomas of 4-T’s Bar-B-Q and elected a new Mayor Pro Tem.
Mayor Rick Wilson asked for a motion concerning the appointment of a Mayor Pro Tem. Council member Cory McGee nominated Council member David Johnson but he didn’t receive a second and the motion died.
Next, Council member Robbie Powers nominated Council member Mary Penn. That motion received a second by Council member Shaun Myers, and all Council members voted in favor.
