For most young women of Mexican descent, the approach of a 15th birthday quinceanera is as exciting as a wedding.
But the occasion has special meaning for Maira Anguiano of Terrell. Her quinceanera on Saturday, June 10 will be extra-special. Because she’s battling Hodgkin’s Disease, a particularly life-threatening form of cancer, The Make-A-Wish Foundation is stepping in to pay all of her family’s quiceanera expenses.
