Moses lived 40 years in Egypt with Pharaoh’s daughter where he learned all the ways and laws of Egypt’s government. That would be valuable information when he was ready to deliver the people, per GOD’S plan. One day he visited his people (Israel) and saw an Egyptian guard beating one of his people and killed the Egyptian. The next day, when it was discovered, Moses was afraid Pharaoh would kill him, so he fled across the desert to his kinsman Jethro. Moses spent another 40 years tending sheep in that land. Now we need to consider some things here. First, all that happened to Moses was GOD’S way of training him to carry out His plan to deliver His people.
