‘A Thousand Horses’ to headline 2nd annual BBQ Cookoff June 2 and 3

FORNEY, TX—The City of Forney is excited to announce that “A Thousand Horses” will be headlining the 2017 BBQ Cook-Off at Community Park, 241 S. FM 548, presented by Brooklyn Village and the City of Forney on June 2 and 3. A fresh fusion of classic sounds – a hybrid of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, Black Crowes and Exile on Main Street,

‘A Thousand Horses’ has a distinct sound of lowcountry with old school soul, that many residents will love. Their workingman’s anthem “Preachin to the Choir” is currently on country radio and follows their successful debut “Smoke”. The chart-topping track made Country Aircheck history as the highest debut for a new artist and solidified then band as the first this decade to score a No. 1 with their first single on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart.
