Falcon baseball team defeats Lovejoy, 2-1

FORNEY—In a key District 15-5A game Apr. 11, the North Forney Falcon baseball team defeated Lovejoy by a count of 2-1. With the win, North Forney improves to 8-13-1 overall and 5-4 in District 15-5A play while Lovejoy falls to 10-15 and 4-5 respectively.

From the start, this game was a true pitcher’s duel between North Forney’s Ricardo Pena and Lovejoy’s Mason Marsh. For the game, Pena worked five full innings while surrendering 1 run on 1 hit with 2 strikeouts while Marsh worked 5.2 innings and surrendered 2 runs (1 unearned) on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts.
