The magic of the holiday season will fill Historic Downtown Terrell once again on Saturday, December 13th at 10:00 a.m., as the community gathers for the Annual Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade—a time-honored celebration that embodies the warmth, charm, and togetherness of a classic small-town Christmas. This year’s theme is Rockin’ Around Terrell.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Ann McDonald, the 2025 Rotary Citizen of the Year, who will lead the joyful
procession down Moore Avenue. Her commitment to service and community makes her an inspiring choice to represent Terrell in one of its most beloved holiday traditions.
Families from across the area will line the streets to enjoy a festive lineup featuring:
•Colorful, themed floats
•Classic and antique vehicles
•The Terrell High School Fighting Tiger Band
•The Tigerettes and THS Cheer teams
•Fire engines and first responders
•Equestrian groups
•The alwayspopular Hella Shriners, known for their crowd-pleasing performances
•And of course—Santa Claus, arriving in true Terrell fashion to share holiday cheer with children and families.
The Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade remains one of Terrell’s most cherished community events, uniting schools, organizations, civic groups, and local businesses in a celebration of holiday spirit and hometown pride.
This year’s parade is proudly supported by the Platinum Collection of Car Dealerships as the Presenting Sponsor, whose continued dedication helps ensure this tradition thrives year after year. A special thank-you also goes to Film Alley and Raising Cane’s as Santa’s Special Sponsors.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to bundle up, gather loved ones, and enjoy a magical morning in downtown Terrell. There is no better way to welcome the holiday weekend than by experiencing the joy, music, and merriment of the Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade—where the spirit of Christmas truly comes to life.
