The Terrell Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Terrell, is excited to announce the 4th Annual Terrell Mural Walk, taking place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Historic Downtown Terrell. This annual event has quickly become a community favorite, celebrating local history, art, and family in the heart of the city.
This year’s event will offer a wide range of activities for all ages, including:
• Live artist painting the historic Iris Theatre mural on site
• A community Paint-by-Number Mural where visitors can contribute their own brushstrokes
• A Free Kids Zone with family-friendly activities
• Pet Art Area where visitors can meet adoptable pets and create art
• A youth-led project creating “Rocko the Snake” from hand-painted rocks
• An Art Show at the LYRIC Building, located at 115 W. Moore Avenue
• Coffee and Canvas at Terrell Coffee Co.
• The Terrell Heritage Market, featuring artisans, makers, and cottage bakers
• Shopping and dining experiences with Historic Downtown Terrell’s merchants, shops, and restaurants
Shopping Challenge & Passport Challenge
Leading up to the event, visitors are encouraged to participate in a Shopping Challenge beginning September 1 and concluding September 19. Winners will be announced at the Mural Walk on Saturday, September 20.
The popular Mural Walk Passport Challenge also returns this year. Passports can be picked up at the LYRIC Building, and all participants who complete the mural challenge will receive a prize. Completed passports will also be entered into a grand prize drawing during the event.
A Celebration of Community
“The Mural Walk has become a signature event in Terrell, bringing our community and visitors together to celebrate history, art, and local culture,” said Sharon Harper, Marketing and Tourism Director of the Terrell Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We look forward to welcoming families, friends, and neighbors downtown for a day filled with creativity, shopping, and fun.”
The Terrell Mural Walk is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to explore the many murals, shops, and dining options that make Historic Downtown Terrell a unique destination.
